Gaming Club started in a university dorm room with two monitors, one router, and a shared love of competitive gaming. What began as a weekly LAN night between friends has grown into a full club with ranked scrims, coaching, and a real tournament calendar.
Our first official tournament had only eight squads, and the prize was pizza and energy drinks for the winners. A year later the club had its own scrim schedule, three volunteer coaches and a partner computer club for offline LAN finals.
Today Gaming Club runs weekly cups in four game categories, streams the grand finals and helps every new member find a squad during their first week.
We want every student, from total beginner to aspiring pro, to have a squad, a coach, and a stage to compete on.
This website was designed and developed by our two-person student team. For Assignments #4 and #5 it was upgraded with interactive JavaScript features.
